Gallery: RW Class Assembly June 2018

RW looked all leafy and green in their outfits for their assembly on Friday. Their topic has been about growing.   They opened their assembly with how their seeds have grown and what conditions are needed for growing. Ms Rice, Ms Tomlinson and I were all given questions to answer….no pressure!

It was lovely to see through the film that the children had made, their use of their new garden and growing area. They are growing all manner of things! They retold the story of Jack and the Beanstalk very confidently using their story maps to help them retell the story using Talk for Writing actions and Makaton. They sang songs about growing with the support of Miss Matthews which were fabulous!

It always amazes me how confident the children are in front of a large audience. Well done to RW  and a big thankyou to Miss West, Miss Tobin, Miss Douglas and Mrs Connal for supporting the children with their brilliant performance.

Thank you to for all the support of the parents – this just makes their assembly even more special that you come and watch them. Here is what they had to say:

‘What an amazing assembly! Well done everyone it looks like you’ve had great for growing your beanstalk!’

‘It was an amazing assembly. Very well performed. Well done to everyone!’

‘We enjoyed the assembly very much. It was fantastic to see the children doing really well.’

‘What a fabulous assembly! So, so proud of the children! Fabulous, fantastic, amazing! Well done everyone including the teachers!’
