Gallery: Year 4 go on an exciting Google Expedition
On Thursday 13th October, South Grove Primary School was very lucky to have Google visit our school.
Children in Years 3-6 visited the pyramids of Egypt, The Parthenon in Greece, famous landmarks in London and went on an underwater safari adventure all in one morning!
South Grove Primary School was one of the selected schools where Google Expeditions took both students and teachers on different immersive, virtual journeys.
Our teachers were able to send synchronised three-dimensional 360⁰ panoramas to each student’s Cardboard viewer directly from their tablet, pointing out areas of interest in real time and taking them on a journey of discovery.
Here are some quotes from the children-
“I felt like I was in Egypt! I saw a pyramid!” Ayyun 4B
“It was really good because it felt like I was actually in Egypt, in front of the pyramids.” Ritchie 4SH
