What have Year 1 been up to?

Written on: Monday 04 November 2019

Year 1 was able to go to the Museum of Childhood to learn about toys from the past, including toys our grandparents and parents would have played with. They enjoyed the workshop in which they were able to play with a range of toys and compare them to modern day toys. We then got to explore the museum and we saw doll houses taller than our teachers! We really enjoyed our trip. Thank you to all the parents who helped support us on this exciting journey.

Pumpkin Carving
We hope all of our Year 1 students and parents had a lovely half term! We have had a great start back this week introducing our new topic of 'Celebrations and Festivals.' To kick start our learning, we have been preparing for the festival of Halloween. We carved pumpkins in our class and learned some key facts about what happens on All Hallows Eve. Have a safe and happy trick-or-treating everyone!
