Healthy Living Rules for 2DM!
Miss McFarlane and 2DM left us in no doubt about what we should be eating and how to have a healthy lifestyle! We learnt why healthy food and a balanced diet is important. The children had learnt so much about the five different food types and what each group does for our bodies. We were given reminders that some food types should only be eaten occasionally!
The children reinforced the message of 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day with their song
‘5 Portions a Day.’ They shared their making of Berry Nice Lollies that they really enjoyed making but more importantly eating! 2DM showed us their ‘moves’ through their exercise video and dance.
Their homework projects on healthy food were brilliant. Thank you to all parents for supporting your children to make such informative projects.
Well done to Miss McFarlane and support staff in helping the children with a very successful assembly.
