How Green is Your Tree?

Written on: Wednesday 02 December 2015

Our school Christmas tree has been provided by The Christmas Forest who are new this year to the Lea Valley, and for every tree sold in the UK they fund the planting of a tree in Africa through Tree Aid. From 25th November they will be selling a fabulous selection of sustainably grown, freshly cut Christmas trees all handpicked for their quality. Five different varieties and a huge range of sizes are all displayed in a festive forest-like setting, with holly, wreaths, mistletoe and treats for the kids too. Every single tree sold funds the planting of a tree in the drylands of Africa, with 150,622 planted to date, changing lives for thousands of some of the poorest families in the world.

Tree Aid is a great charity to support; go to treeaid.org.uk for more information.  So why not go and wander through The Christmas Forest and pick your perfect Christmas tree and enjoy an extra festive glow knowing your tree means life.

The Christmas Forest is at the Lee Valley Ice Centre, Lea Bridge Road, E10 7QL. Prices start at £18.  Parking  and delivery available.  Or buy your tree online and have it delivered to your door. Open 8am- 10pm Monday to Sunday until December 24th. 01865 427 067. www.christmasforest.co.uk
