Today has been all about Wellbeing and what this means to us as individuals. The children were amazing and have come up with so many great responses. You can see the work we have done on the Rights of the Child, the Resilience work and the work on wellbeing
What is Wellbeing? These are some of the ideas we came up with as a school.
- A Healthy Body
- A Healthy Mind
- A Giving Spirit
- Building Positive Relationships
- A Supportive Place to Learn
- Looking after the Environment
- Everyone keep learning/ lifelong learning
- Eating Healthy Foods
- Exercising regularly
The children thought of what they do everyday to be the best they can be and what they bring to South Grove. Some of the responses included :
- Working hard in their lessons
- Friendship - being a good friend
- Empathy- looking after those who are less fortunate
- Looking after their teachers
- Talking and being social
- Looking after each other
Not only the children thought about Wellbeing today, but us as a staff also had time to think about it. We were asked to spend 10 minutes today thinking about our own Wellbeing and what we do to be our best.
Parents, what do you do for your own Wellbeing? Spend 10 minutes thinking about it. Have a think about it this week and let Ms Spain know next week. We will publish a list of great ideas on how to improve our own wellbeing soon.
