Infant Nativity 2018

Written on: Tuesday 18 December 2018

Wow! Sparkling stars, glowing angels, majestic kings, sheep, donkeys, villagers, Mary, Joseph (and even a postman!), made for a fabulous infant nativity on Thursday and Friday.

The children looked brilliant in their costumes, thanks to staff and parents for a joint effort of ensuring everyone was kitted out! Each class sung their hearts out to their song that helped to tell the story, using Makaton. They impressed us with knowing when their part was due and thanks to

Miss Matthews, took cues from her if they were a little hesitant! Well done to a confident Reception who, for their first Nativity, did really well!

Thank you to Miss Matthews for co-ordinating the Nativity and all teaching and support staff for making it a special time for both children and parents. We had a packed and eager audience on each occasion, so thank you for that. The children really love you being there.

Here are what our appreciative audience had to say:

‘What an amazing show! Well done to all the performers and staff involved – I feel really Christmassy now!’

‘Fantastic Assembly – great performance by our little actors. Very well organised. Well done South Grove Teachers!’

‘The Christmas play was brilliant. So nice to see the children singing together.’

‘The nativity rocks! Well done to all!’
