Harvest and World Food Day 2020

Written on: Tuesday 27 October 2020

A massive thank you to the families at South Grove for your very generous donations.

The Salvation Army came to visit South Grove today at a social distance and they were overwhelmed by our contributions; particularly in these difficult times. Give yourselves a round of applause and keep being the best you can be. We are all in this together and we are all here for each other.

Please take a look at the assembly PowerPoint below. It also links to some songs to sing at home.

Here is a brochure that talks about the poster competition.

Here is a lovely book about Food Heroes for the children to read at home.

Thank you to the contributions from Year 3, Year 6 and the Wellbeing Boys in Year 5. And thank you to everyone who has contributed on some level. All the best to you and your families and Happy Harvest to you all.

Free Courses for Adults

Today is World Food Day, a day bringing together governments, businesses, NGOs, the media and the general public in promoting worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and the need to ensure healthy diets for all.

Take your own action for World Food Day today and educate yourself on some key issues surrounding food - from tackling food waste, revolutionising the food chain and understanding the labels on the food you eat.
