Born in a Barn!  – The Infant Nativity

What a treat we all had on Thursday and Friday! Our Reception, Year 1 and 2 children seemed to have disappeared and in their place were mooing cows, very noisy cockerels, sheep, donkeys, villagers, camels and majestic kings alongside Mary and Joseph.

The children looked brilliant in their costumes, thanks to staff and parents for a joint effort of ensuring everyone was kitted out! Each class sung their hearts out to their song that helped to tell the story, using Makaton. They impressed us with knowing when their part was due and thanks to

Miss Matthews, took cues from her! Well done to a confident Reception children who, for their first Nativity, did really well!

Thank you to Miss Matthews for co-ordinating the Nativity and all teaching and support staff for making it a special time for both children and parents. We had a packed and eager audience on each occasion, so thank you for that. The children really love you being there.

Here are what our appreciative audience had to say:

‘What a wonderful nativity! Well done!’

‘Amazing! What fabulous performances. Well done to all KS1 and staff. Merry Christmas!’

‘Amazing that all the students and teachers bring us a jolly Christmas atmosphere. Thank you!’

‘What a fantastic, emotional, exciting performance!!’
