Green mini beasts in RW!

RW Class Assembly

Well done to RW for their very first assembly! The children looked great in their green and leafy costumes. Their topic has been about minibeasts and this is one that they clearly love! They opened their assembly with a minibeast quiz so all staff had to be alert and ready to answer their questions! The presentation showed the video of the children in the Secret Garden looking for minbeasts. They were very enthusiastic about what they had found and could explain what the minibeasts were.

The children re-told the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar using Talk 4 Writing actions that help the children to remember the order of the story and re-tell it. They did a fantastic job. They then sang a song about The Very Hungry Caterpillar with actions which was brilliant. The children finished their assembly by showing their press prints of minibeasts which were very effective.

My thanks go to Miss West, Miss Tomlin and Miss Tobin for their support of the children and to the supportive parent audience.  Well done!

Here’s what the parents had to say:

‘Very impressed. The children have learnt some really interesting information.’

‘Lovely assembly, like always, the children are so confident.’

‘Very impresses with the way the children have been learning. Very nice to see all the children enjoying it.’

‘Amazing RW!’
