Year 5 visit the Museum of London

Written on: Wednesday 13 December 2017

Year 5 enjoyed a trip to the Museum of London. We travelled back in time, put on our archaeologist hats and examined some Roman artefacts that had been found right here in London! We were amazed at how some of these historic artefacts have survived for over two thousand years! After our workshop, we got to explore the museum itself and found a replica of a Roman villa (nowadays known as a house), an ancient coffin, old tools and weapons, pottery and much more!

The day was filled with lots of historic artefacts which gave us a really good idea of what life was like in Londinium (London) during Roman Times - Sarai 5D

We looked at different Roman artefacts and even got to handle some of their pottery that had been made over two thousand years ago - Suhayla 5M
