HEAD TEACHER’S WELCOME
EXPOWERED TO EXPLORE, INSPIRED TO LEARN….
A very warm welcome to South Grove Primary School. Firstly, let me share that I feel very privileged to be the Head Teacher of a school that is full of happy, well-behaved children who are a pleasure to teach. We have extremely dedicated and support staff who work very hard to provide the best opportunities for all our children in the safe and nurturing school environment. Choosing the right primary school for your child can be one of the hardest decisions you have to make. ...READ THE REST OF THE HEADTEACHER'S WELCOME
COVID-19 UPDATE – RETURN TO SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 2021
Dear parents and carers,
I trust that you and your families are all safe and well. It has been lovely to see the school community return to school. Generally last academic year we were successful in keeping the school and each Year Group Bubble open. Thank you so much for your continued support with this.
Following the Government’s recent announcements and Waltham Forest Public Health advice I write to provide the school community with any relevant updates that I hope you will find useful for the beginning of the Autumn Term.
I attach the updated version of the Risk Assessment V1. The changes to this document are the new links to the Government Guidance for Schools coronavirus (COVID-19) operational guidance for August 2021. The school will remain the same in all its operational guidance as previously so staggered start and finish times, various entrances, Year Team Bubbles will continue for the time being. Staff will continue to wear face coverings during both teaching times and in communal areas where social distancing is difficult.
Below are links to documents that we hope parents/carers will find helpful.
Parents / carers are also able to order an LFT Home Test Kit from the Government Website or by clicking this link Order coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid lateral flow tests - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
We very much look forward to welcoming everyone back, particularly our new families joining our EYFS Nursery and Reception classes and know that everyone will play their part in helping us to return safely to continue the children’s learning journey.
If parents have any concerns or queries please do not hesitate to contact the school office or email us on email@example.com
With my Very Best Wishes, Julie Maltwood, Head Teacher
It is with deep regret and sadness that I am sending this message to you. Tragically Miss Haq passed away on the 14th August, as did her baby daughter that she was expecting. She leaves her husband and two young children.
