Latest Year 2 News & Events

• Monday 18 March 2024 Year 3 Investigate Packaging In our design and technology lessons, year 3 have been investigating chocolate packaging. We then looked at the nets of different packages and drew our own nets using the measuring skills that we have been developing in maths. Then, we created a mood board for our own design ideas and designed logos to meet a design brief. Next week we will use all of this information to make our own 3D chocolate packaging.
• Friday 2 February 2024 2DM Assembly all about the Great Fire of London Wow 2DM! We all felt very hot and bothered by the time the assembly finished having watched all those flames and dramatic stories from the children! It was a wonderful assembly packed with facts around the Fire of London, Pudding Lane in 1666.
• Tuesday 14 November 2023 Year 2 have been learning to tell the time In Maths, Year 2 have been learning to Tell the Time using o'clock and half past. We also had the Institute of Imagination workshop. We had great fun using shapes and patterns inspired by nature and engineering 3D paper buildings.
• Thursday 9 November 2023 Year 2 are Climbers In PE this week, we took out the large apparatus. We particularly enjoyed trying to climb the ropes and climbing on the wall bars. Lots of us reached the top of the wall bars but only Logan in 2F climbed to the very top of the rope! Our very own Spiderman!
