3H Assembly || Living together || November 2023
Year 3 || Living Together Assembly || November 2023
We were treated to an amazing 'Living Together' assembly on Friday where 3H shared their knowledge of what it means to be a part of a diverse community, both within school and the wider school community. They explained that being part of a community is important because it helps us to connect with different people. They emphasised:
We are all different, but it’s our differences that bring us together to make us a community.
Confidently, they shared all their fantastic learning and talents which ranged from: artists, singers, dancers and as well song writers. Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor watch out!!!!! They shared facts about Walthamstow and read aloud their amazing acrostic poems using the title 'Living Together'.
As part of their research projects, the children created their own 'family community' by making their own family trees. These were amazing.
The class were very proud of their assembly and wanted to explain it themselves to those who missed it:
Our assembly was based on living together and the community we wrote leaflets, acrostic poems and many more. At the end I sang a brilliant song with my friends that I wrote, it was all about celebrating our community and our different cultures - Robin
Our assembly was about community and we found out what it means to be in community. In art we painted country flags to share the country's that represent 3H. We are all in a community, the community is South Grove Primary School. We are all different but it's our differences that bring us together to make us a community. Many flags with shared history, ethnicity or religion have similarities in their flags that share this connection. We sang a song about living together and it was really fun. We had a great time in our assembly, it was so good. We had so much work to share like our home work projects and our country flags that we painted in groups -Yusha
Well done to 3H and Ms Hubbard for helping the children do so well.
Here's what the proud parents had to say:
Brilliant! What incredible songs and work and pizazz! Well done everyone.
Such a talented bunch and a beautiful message. Well done – loved every second!
So proud of all the talented kids.
