What a hoot!!
Last Wednesday Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2 had a fabulous treat in the main hall where they met four feathery owls and their handlers from Night Owls.
The children, as excited as they were, listened extremely well to keep themselves safe, and very importantly not frighten the owls.
The children and adults watched as each of the owls swooped across the hall to their owners, skimming the top of the children’s head.
Children from each Year Group volunteered to have the owl fly to them with support from the owners and land on their hand safely wrapped in a leather glove.
It was an amazing experience for the children and to finish the experience off they all had their photograph taken with Willow the gorgeous barn owl!
