Year 3 Learn about Shadows

In our science learning this week, we have been investigating the best material to make shadows. We were given a brief about Isaac, whose baby sister finds it difficult to sleep at night due to too much light getting in. We were then tasked with finding the best material to make curtains. Through our learning, we discovered materials are either transparent, translucent or opaque. With this in mind, we knew we needed our curtains to be made from an opaque material. We then tested which ones were best at blocking the light.
