Year 3 explore the art of writing limericks!

 This week in our English lesson, we had an exciting time exploring the art of writing limericks!

We started by working together as a group to create a colourful and informative poster outlining the key rules of limericks. This helped us understand the structure and rhythm that make limericks so playful and catchy.

Once we had a solid understanding of the rules, we took it a step further by editing an existing limerick, carefully refining the wording and rhythm to make it even more engaging.

Finally, the most exciting part — we created our very own original limericks! It was so much fun coming up with clever rhymes and playful stories.
